Approved breeding stallions must be activated each breeding season to produce eligible offspring. The owner declares the stallion available for breeders interested in producing registerable foals.

Annual activation dues are invoiced each January by the Holsteiner Verband. 

​

North America-based breeders can use semen from any Holsteiner Verband-approved stallion, fresh or frozen. Below are the approved stallions currently activated and available in North America.
