HOLSTEINER VERBAND
NORTH AMERICAN BREEDING DISTRICT
NORTH AMERICAN BREEDING DISTRICT STALLIONS
In order to continue to produce eligible offspring, approved breeding stallions must be activated each breeding season. The owner, by activating his stallion, declares that his stallion is going to be available for breeders who have interest in producing registerable foals. It is essential for mare owners to know that a stallion is active within a registry so that they know that their resulting offspring are eligible for registration.
Annual stallion activation dues are invoiced each December by the Holsteiner Verband. (Delays in activation can result in late fees as well as the risk of not being included in any printed version of the Holsteiner Verband's stallion roster.) All activated stallions will appear on the Holsteiner Verband's online stallion roster.
North America-based breeders are able to use semen of any stallion approved by the Holsteiner Verband. Below are the approved stallions standing within the North American Breeding District in 2021 along with contact information.
