UPDATE
The 2003 American Holsteiner Horse Association annual meeting is scheduled for February 7-9, 2003 at the Wyndham Phoenix Airport Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. Featured content of the weekend will include open meetings with the AHHA Breeding Committee, the Board of Directors and the annual AHHA Holsteiner Awards Banquet. Look for a sign-up form on the AHHA website.
The deadline for the 2003 Stallion Service Auction has been extended until February 1, 2003 to allow for maximum participation in the auction program. If you've been undecided about whether to place a bid, there are some fantastic bargains available. You can research the stallions available by going to the AHHA 2003 Stallion Service Auction will be announced at the 2003 AHHA Annual Meeting in Phoenix.
The AHHA is now accepting applications for the 2003 Breeding Stock Approvals. The Site Host Application Form is found on the AHHA website.
The AHHA Breeding committee is looking to select from between 8 to 12 sites for the 2003 Approvals Tour. Potential hosts should read the information on the breeding stock approvals tour carefully, as some information has changed from previous years. Final selection will take place at the Breeding Committee Meeting during the 2003 AHHA Annual Meeting. In order to ensure that your application is considered, all applications for hosting an Approvals Tour Site must be received in the AHHA office not later than February 1, 2003.
2002 Approvals Premium Plaques
The company that manufactures the Premium Mare and Foal medallions for the AHHA has gone out of business, and consequently, the AHHA has had to find another supplier, and because the old dies were not available, fabrication of new Premium medallions has taken far longer than anticipated. Horse owners whose mares and/or foals received premium scores will receive their medallions as soon as we have them from our new supplier. We regret the delay and any inconvenience.
2003 Stallion Roster
The 2003 AHHA Stallion Roster is being passed to the printer on January 10th and we anticipate that this important book will be distributed sometime in early February.
