2002 Approvals Tour

 

The 2002 AHHA Approvals tour proved to be a sweeping success, with nearly 600 horses and foals undergoing inspection. Highlights from the tour will be published in the winter issue of the Impulsion and complete scores from the 2002 AHHA approvals tour are now available online at the AHHA Website, www.holsteiner.com.

 

AHHA Members Elect New Directors

 

The American Holsteiner Horse Association has just conducted its election to replace outgoing directors. Wendy Artzt, Rebecca Cobb, Wendy Davis Gerrish, Steven Passman and Andras Szieberth were each elected to three year terms.

 

The AHHA wishes to thank outgoing directors Daniel van Heeckeren, Ed Wallace, Maggie Sjoberg, Masu Hamacher and Doris van Heeckeren for their faithful service.

 

Updates on Your Computer

 

This is the first AHHA Update that has gone out to our members via e-mail! This is a very big step for the AHHA, as sending these updates by e-mail will save the association a considerable amount of time and money, allowing the staff to better concentrate on improving the valuable services they provide.

 

This issue of AHHA Update has been produced and distributed both electronically and in hard copy. In the future, members for whom we have valid e-mail addresses will receive these updates via e-mail only.  We strongly encourage all members to register their e-mail address with the AHHA office. Members receiving AHHA Update via e-mail will receive their information approximately a week sooner than those using "snail mail", and the money saved in paper, postage and in stuffing envelopes will permit us to make these updates more frequent and useful

2003 AHHA Breeding Committee

 

For the first time, AHHA members had the opportunity to elect members of the AHHA Breeding Committee. From a quality slate of fourteen individuals, members have selected the following to the breeding committee.

 

AHHA Bylaws require that Breeding Committee members serve staggered three-year terms, so committee members elected in this first year were slotted into terms based on the number of votes garnered. Congratulations!      

 

 

 

2003 AHHA Breeders Directory

 The deadline for inclusion into the 2003 AHHA Breeders Directory has been extended until December 15, 2002. The AHHA Breeders Directory is a veritable Who's Who of Holsteiner breeders. The Directory is open to all AHHA member Holsteiner breeders.

 

2003 AHHA Annual Meeting

 

The 2003 American Holsteiner Horse Association annual meeting is scheduled for February 7-9, 2003 at the Wyndham Phoenix Airport Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. Featured content of the weekend will include open meetings with the AHHA Breeding Committee, the Board of Directors and the annual AHHA Holsteiner Awards Banquet. Look for a sign-up form in the next AHHA Update.

 

2003 Stallion Service Auction

 

The AHHA Breeding Committee has been working diligently to assemble an impressive roster of horses for the 2003 Stallion Service Auction. The AHHA will be taking bids for this auction from December 15^th through January 15^th. The complete roster of competing stallions will be published in the next AHHA Update.
